Children’s Advocacy Center

The Children’s Advocacy Center of Kent County partners with local law enforcement, child protective services, and the prosecutor’s office to support child victims of sexual assault. Trained forensic interviewers at the CAC conduct a developmentally accurate, non-biased, fact-seeking interview that is used for a child sexual abuse investigation. On-going services including therapy, advocacy, and case management are offered to victims and caregivers.
The CAC provides Kid’s Have Rights, a body safety curriculum, to grades K-4th grade in Kent County. The CAC also provides community education and training including Mandated Reporting, sexual abuse, and Adverse Childhood Experiences.
