Annual Candlelight Vigil
Thank you for joining us for the 2025 Candlelight Vigil.
Your presence, care, and commitment to honoring the lives lost to domestic violence made the evening deeply meaningful. Together, we held space for remembrance, healing, and hope for change. Here is coverage from Fox 17 on the vigil.
We look forward to gathering again for the 2026 Candlelight Vigil in early October 2026 — and continuing this important work, together.
“This vigil is both a remembrance and a call to action. By gathering together, we honor the lives lost, support survivors, and publicly acknowledge that domestic violence affects not only the 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men who experience intimate partner violence in their lifetime, but our entire community. We recommit ourselves to building a Kent County where everyone can live in safety and dignity.” – Micah Johnston, Director of DVAN
